Fishing is available year-round in the mild South Georgia climate.

Tarpon, Shark and Redfish prowl the beaches in large numbers in search of the many bait fish that are available. Sight fishing for Tripletail is also a favorite.

When you fish near shore, you should plan your trip date to find the following seasonal species:

• Shark - May to October
• Tarpon - June to September
• Spanish Mackerel - May to November
• Bullreds - September to November
• Tripletail - April to September
